What is Write-Together?

It's normal and logical to start with answering the question "What is the project Write-Together?"

  I will get you back about 10 years ago, when I was at high school in my Philosophy and Ethics class. Normally the class was with a little discipline and more of the students were joking, shouting, playing cards or even not attending. At this specific lesson whole of my classmates were in the classroom. The teacher went in and said:

"This time we will do a new exercise and all of you will take part in it."



  Everybody was a little confused, because the situation was new. So the teacher explained us, that for the exercise everyone of us have to write a sentence connected to the previous one and you can see only the previous sentence. At the end we have one very funny story about bald guy, father of three children, walking in the rain and being drunk in the ZOO. Even the fact that I still remember this story is remarkable.

  This positive memory and the idea that it can be funny, useful and interesting helped me to decided, that I want to make a site where people can do something with the same concept. Here at Write-Together me and all of the visitors, which want to be writers, can create our own story or even a whole book.

  My idea is to start with a simple story about 2-3 pages. Every author will write one separated paragraph knowing all or some of the content of the previous paragraph. I will try to create different situation for every new mission, with new rules and new idea.

  In my opinion this experiment can be very funny and interesting. It has a lot of positive things, too. Write-Together product will be various, because of the author language and ideas. It will be interesting for the readers, but also for writers themselves, because they will be not only writers, but readers, too. I think with this project we can develop one new community, where we can help on improving our writing, our expression and we can work on our ideas. Of course Write-Together can became a total failure, but I truly doubt it.

  My future posts will describe the purpose of project, my plan of development, the future plans and of course the rules of the first mission.
