After starting the first mission of write together, I will share the future plans of development. I think that if the project reaches the level that I predicted it will need areas to be expanded. Since the start of write together I'm thinking about this areas and I will post my ideas here. Of course we are community, so every one of you can share his thoughts and they will be considered, discussed and if good enough they will be used.
When an author start the process of writing a book he expects that sooner or later he will publish it on different variants (hard copy, online variant or a copy for e-readers). Despite we are community of writers we still can publish our product. I am planing to start with the very accessible solution, to create a free pdf version of the first couple of products. After I am convinced that we have the needed success, then I will try to contact some online sites (like lulu.com or blurb.com) in order to produce a copy of our product. If everything went well then I will contact a publishing services in order to produce hard copy. Of course this is very far away from the level that we have reached till now.
Every one of you have read a book at least once in a lifetime, so you noticed that the books have interesting cover and some illustrations inside, that help you to create the story in your imagination. I am planning to expand our community with a group of visitors which can paint. Then we will have writers, illustrators and readers, so we will have a process circle. We can expand the community even more, if we notice some other needed part of the process.
The start of the project is given, but the creation of the first product will be through a process identified by me. I am human being, so I expect that I have made some mistakes or even missed some important part of the process in order to make the process easier. Once we pass through it and determine the weak spots, we can create much writer friendly process. I think that the process can be changed in every new mission.
The last part that I have identified is introducing a gamification method. In our environment I define the gamification as a use completion of different personal missions. For example if one of the writers bring two active writers then he can publish two consecutive parts of the product or if a reader brings five persons who like the facebook page, then he will receive a free copy of the online version. This idea is in a very basic level and we can work on it in order to develop a complete solution that will help the project to develop even more.
These are the first ideas that I planned to introduce in order to start a discussion. I want your opinion, your suggestions and of course your critics, because I think that we can transfer write together in a new dimension.
